Certifications

Following the continuous improvement policy in the management of our products and processes, Industrias Balmes is certified: In 1998, in the quality management system ISO 9001. In 2004, in the EN9100 standard for aerospace suppliers.

Both certifications have the following scope: Manufacture of precision processed components in plastic and metallic materials, individual parts, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies for industry in general, including defence and aerospace.

Industrias Balmes also helps you to obtain the approvals required for your products under European and international standards.

  • CE marking

    The CE marking is a symbol indicating that a product complies with the essential requirements of the Directives applicable to it. It also guarantees that the manufacturer has taken all appropriate measures to ensure compliance with these requirements for each of the products placed on the market.

    This establishes a number of general conditions and requirements that a product must meet in order to prevent endangering the safety of humans, domestic animals, property and/or the environment. These are not technical specifications, as they do not define any specific design or construction requirements, but merely indicate the desired results.

  • IP Protection

    IP (International Protection) is a system for classifying the different protection classes supported by a unit.

    This standard has been developed to alpha-numerically assess equipment according to the protection class provided by its containment materials against foreign material ingress. The protection class of the equipment can be determined quickly and easily by assigning different numerical characters.
